This describes how Roland Songer, doing business as Aletha Codex, handles information for Aletha Codex.
1. The short version
Aletha Codex runs entirely on your Mac. Your conversations, files, and vault are processed on-device and are never sent to us or anyone else. We only handle the limited information needed to sell you the Software and support you.
2. What we collect
(a) At purchase: your email and name, collected through our payment processor, Stripe. Stripe processes your payment; we do not receive or store your card details. (b) License record: a record linking your purchase to your license. (c) Support: anything you send us by email.
3. What the app collects
Nothing is transmitted to us. The Software operates offline; no usage data, prompts, or content leave your device.
4. How we use it
To deliver your license and download, provide receipts and support, and meet legal and accounting obligations.
5. Sharing
With Stripe (payment) and, if used, an email provider, solely to operate the sale. We do not sell your information.
6. Retention
We keep purchase records as required for tax, accounting, and support; you may request deletion of information not legally required to retain.
7. Your choices
Email support@alethacodex.com to access or delete your information.
8. Children
The Software is not for anyone under 18.
